  • I interpret engineering drawings into instructions for assemblers. I find the simplest and most cost effective way to have assemblers build trains. I sell my ideas to my boss, assemblers and the railroad customer. I provide instructions and sketches for assembly. I answer questions and communicate instructions to over 500 employees. My job is the epitome of multitasking. I coordinate transactions with four other departments. I host a database that contains every wire in four car types and furnish the production line with all modifications, revisions and repair procedures. I provide training in the use of all electrical crimpers used per contract and the building of all sub-assemblies. I also design wire harness layouts on AutoCAD for the building of all major wire harnesses (20' - 120'). I answer all pager, phone, e-mail and faxed questions. I research parts that are not to spec and call vendors for more information. Since I have gone back to Methods I have finished my Six-Sigma Project. I am also part of the internal corrective action team looking into the technical service end of things.
