RssMy history in insurance claims, and transportation.

I have spent 25+ years as an insurance adjuster/investigator, and am currently "semi-retired". I would like to find a position that would me of a "part time" nature, and in the same type of position that I was in for most of my career. I also have a class "A" CDL and would drive IF I could find a position which would be of a nature not requiring being out "overnight"! A driving position "locally" or one that would be "out" and "back" the same day would be the most interesting to me! I mention my need to be home due to being single, having a yard and home to maintain and I also have Pets that live with me and need daily assistance/feeding/water, etc. I currently do not have "ANY" "Credit" cards as they have been paid off and discarded. What can I arrange without using a credit card?

About Me

Industry:

Insurance

Occupation:

Claims Adjuster

Highlights:

I began my "adjusting" career as a "cub" adjuster for "GAB" (General Adjustment Bureau) in 1965. I worked in two different offices as the company seemed to like to transfer personnel at their choice. My second position was a territory adjuster located in Pittsburg, Kansas where I ran a territory covering two and a half counties. While there, I was ordered to take charge of a "temporary" office which was set up in an area in Oklahoma due to a large hail storm, and also contained a few tornados. This office had been in effect for a month or two before I was assigned, and was "deeply" running in the "red". I was able to take over, and by doing as much of the actual claims work as my time would allow, the office produced revenue to put it into the "Black"! I was then asked to take the position of branch manager of a small branch in Western Oklahoma, which was also running in the "Red". I accepted the promotion to "Branch Manager" and was able to bring the "branch office" back into the "Black" within a year. I was VERY fortunate in this "challange" due to the "adjusters" I had working under me, and my ability to work "with them" in getting the "back-log" of claims up to date. This required me to take a territory from the office and "run" it along with taking care of the normal office duties. I had a WONDERFUL secretary, and eventullay cut the staff of adjusters from three to two. That along with working along side of my two ajusters resulted in the office becoming a profitable location.
