I am responsible for one half of the total work in my department as there are only 2 transcriptionists, 3 oncologists and 1 radiation oncologist. Our turnaround time is 24 hours and about 95% of the time we achieve that goal. Since it is an outpatient oncology treatment center, time is of the essence as far as everyone doing his/her job. However, I do have autonomy and am not micromanaged to any degree.
