Job Skills
Keywords
Responsibilities
Created a Field Medical Affairs (FMA) department within pharmaceutical industry “where none had existed before”, which successfully centralized Medical Scientific Managers (MSMs) across four therapeutic areas and created a primary point of contact for identifying, developing and managing Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and connecting their interests with the interests of the organization. Previously, interactions with KOLs were coordinated through the sales department or through various headquartered-based employees. The Field Medical Affairs department created a compliant environment for business critical proactive and reactive activities such as KOL management, ISS submissions, speaker development, and a regional scientific resource to function as an extension of Medical Affairs to exchange medical and scientific information with healthcare providers.
