As Change Control Manager I have to establish a positive team oriented work environment so that changes will go smoother and get completed successfully so that both my customer and their customer have collaborated and achieved their common goal in making the business successful. This is all done by treating them with respect on equal levels and sharing their perspective. I communicate changes within the enviornment clearly and concisely to the businesses so that preparation can be made for any outages, downtime, or possible glitches to the system. I also will try to influence the decisions and opinions of department heads as to why a particular change will be in their best interest and advise them on possible impacts that the change will have. I keep everyone informed of these changes in a timely manner and even provide written reminders daily via e-mail. I remain objective by rejecting change controls that do not meet policies. This would include changes done within my own department. From time to time I will resolve conflicts that arise in this process.
