I worked as a temp in an insurance office that had only one person on staff (me). I took over the responsibilties of a lady who had broken her arm and was going to be out of the office for an indeterminant time. I had never met the lady and my training consisted of a short morning session with another lady who had stepped in briefly. I dealt with various forms of communication from e-mails, to the phone, faxes, mail, and special deliveries. I maintained a professional demeanor at all times. Agents I dealt with on the phone appreciated my quick response to their requests and my follow up. Ultimately the office was closed because there was no on staff agent. I handled all areas of the packing, moving, which was a massive undertaking. I also double checked such things as the moving company's schedule (it turns out that corporate hadn't done this). I know that this is was quite a long description but it was very involved and there were many areas which had a short learning curve. Thank you!
