In my capacity as fleet manager, I have handled all aspects of the trucking industry. I have the knowledge and experience dealing with DOT regulations, including electronic logs and hours of service. I was the point of contact for various vendors and scheduled both on-road and in-house repairs and preventive maintenance. With 6 drivers that I supervise, I scheduled the daily runs, requests for time off, and weekly payroll files. I kept track of CDL, medical card, and vehicle registration expiration dates. I am familiar with the DOT self-certification process for medical cards and the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles web site. I have taken online training courses on email security, sexual harassment in the workplace and basic management courses. I am computer literate and have worked with SAP programs for the past 12 years. I pride myself in my ability to learn new formats quickly. I have been a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3565 for 30 years and have served as Auditor, Vice-President and President and currently Trustee. I have also served as State President in 2017. I feel extremely confident in my ability to provide the insight and motivation to fill this position. I know that my organizational skills and my capacity to multi-task will help me do the job that needs to be done. Since 2006, my immediate supervisors have been located off site and I have worked well with limited supervision and will go the extra mile to find the right answers to any problems. I still carry my CDL license.
