I began my professional career with the Department of Defense Commissary Agency in1996 as a store worker (Federal Service Waged Grade-4 step2). In this position, I performed a variety of duties involved in receiving, handling, marking, preparing, and maintaining stock levels of resale items. In 2003, I entered the Commissary Career Intern Program. This program allowed interns to advance thru management levels by offering interns the opportunity to obtain management positions worldwide. I entered this program as General Service-05 step 2 and over the span of 18 years I advanced to GS-10 step 5. Throughout my career, I have been driven to exceed sales goals, build long-term relationships with customers, and deliver positive experiences through high-quality customer care. I am outgoing, familiar with cash and food handling procedures, possess strong communication and time management skills. I have experience serving as a Grocery and Store Manager with demonstrated history of maintaining high employee morale and maximizing store profits. I have conceived, developed, and executed innovative initiatives that reduce costs and optimize efficiency. I have assembled and mentored teams to meet and exceed expectations in a collaborative work environment.
