Significant work experience in both the commercial and defense industry. * Extensive knowledge of government and industry standards, specifications and conventions including ASME Y14.24, ASME Y14.00, ANSI Y14.5-2009 and MIL-STD-31000. * Generate Engineering Change Notices for revising drawings. * Proficient in handling computer, web and CAD software. Experienced with Unigraphics NX-8, Solidworks and Autocad Inventor. Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and Powerpoint. * Experienced in design checking, electro-mechanical packaging, fabrication, assembly and installation drawings, harnessing, piece part, schematics, wire lists and BOM's. Check engineering drawings and related documents for correctness, sound efficiency and simplicity in design, documentation and manufacturability completeness, clarity and dimensional accuracy conformance to design/drafting standards and design specifications. * Excellent communication skills and team oriented. * Mentor junior persons with drafting practices and procedures. * Six Sigma qualified. * Flexible with hours as required by the project management.
