* Successfully started Knowles Brother Lawn Service. * This business is still thriving and driving forward today * It is now named Beacon Landscaping LLC * My brothers Lane Knowles and Heath Knowles are running it now * We have an office in Valley Alabama and we service Lagrange GA., West Point GA., Opelika/Auburn Al., and Valley/Lanett/Hughley Al. * We are expanding into property management and full service all the way around. * Plant wide re-tooling project, * Took out all machinery in plant and updated to new versions and better quality * I started and managed the warehouse upgrades during this time * I updated all storage areas, the layout of production parts and racking systems * I managed the four contracting crews of a total of 50 people during this re-tooling and warehouse upgrade process * Purchased and learned a new part washer for better quality supply of parts during re-tooling period. * Release of 8-speed transmission - 2017 (Powertech) - * We went through the retooling project manly for the launch of our 8-speed transmission * We transitioned from 6-speed transmission to 8-speed transmissions * In doing this, we phased out 80% of our 6-speed transmissions and transitioned into upgrade 8-speed models * This allows for better fuel economy and higher quality product * Went through training with new parts and programming robots to run the new parts * Updated software and programming during this time for our system * Successfully launched 8-speed transmissions with this retooling project. * Implemented the Favis Vision System as an update in software and a check and balance system. * This system is a camera system that check the accuracy of the data being saved into our Auto Storage Retrieval System. * The data the camera system displays must match the data the Model Check system displays, if the data does not match it will not let the product go into AS/RS. * The reduction of in accurate data and miss feeding of incorrect product to production lines has improved over 90% since the system was put into place. * 8-Speed Dunnage project. * Dunnage is the storage pallet we store Torque Converter Housings on. * When we transitioned from 6-speed to 8-speed transmissions we had to re-design the pallets. * I worked with the engineers from LeehWa Ind. (Korea) to launch this new pallet. * Getting measurements and fine tune details while working with project engineers to have the most efficient pallet for 10 various parts and most efficient for robot programming to run to meet 100% production and 0% down time.
