Patient interaction, taking time to listen to what they have to say, trying to help them with their needs. Any job that allows you the time to listen and help. Often listening is helping, and sometimes it is all they really want. I would prefer employment in the Grapevine, Keller, Southlake, Roanoak, Trophy Club, Euless, and Bedford areas. 3 - 2020 to Current: I was placed on furlough from the surgery scheduling job. The surgeon could not operate due to restrictions regarding the types of surgery that could be done. He ultimately chose to terminate my employment due to lack of work and downsizing. 2015-03-26-2020: I worked as s surgery scheduler for a spine surgeon. During my last two years there I became the Charge nurse running the board, and doing staffing. 2005 - 2009 Baylor Medical Center Grapevine. I continued working on the Open Heart surgery team while doing the other surgical services offered there. I also worked in Spine, Orthopedics, Urology, ENT, and General procedures. During the last 1.5 years I was there I was the charge nurse. This included running the board, and doing the staffing. 2005 - 2005 I transferred to Harris Methodist Ft. Worth to work on their Open Heart team. I did many interesting procedures there. I even helped to set up their combo special procedure/surgery suite. There we would do vascular dye studies and then convert to an open surgical procedure if needed. This was very interesting. However Harris Ft. Worth and I were not a good fit and I chose to leave approximately 5 months after starting work there. The nightly drive to Grapevine was too much, especially on call. 1998 - 2005 I worked in the operating room at Harris Methodist H.E.B. in Bedford Texas. I was on the Open Heart and vascular surgery team. While there I also did General, Orthopedic, ENT, and Neurosurgical procedures. When the volume in the Open Heart program decreased I became interested in finding a bigger program. 1991 - 1998 I left the operating room at North Kansas City Hospital to work directly for Dr. Roger Jackson, Dr. David Ebelke, and Dr. Gael Frank. I was his office nurse, first assist in the operating room, and research assistant during the development of the Jackson Spine Frame. This was a job experience that I very much enjoyed. However, due to the job market for my husband, it became necessary to move to Texas. 1989 - 1991 I worked on the Open Heart surgical team at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City Missouri. I began to also scrub and circulate major spine procedures at this time. While at this facility I worked with Dr. Roger Jackson scrubbing and circulating his spine cases. 1978 - 1989 I worked at Research Medical Center. I was originally on a post surgical unit and then transferred to the operating room in October of 1978. I worked in General surgery, Urology, Neurosurgical, and Open Heart/Cardiovascular surgery. I was on the Open Heart surgical team until I changed jobs. I was able to scrub and circulate all vascular procedures. Along with being able to scrub and circulate General, some Orthopedic, and some Neurological procedures.
