Led the creation of a new National Network Surveillance Center in Cary, NC and the consolidation of 3 regional Surveillance Centers into the new Cary Center. Project entailed a full center build out ensuring appropriate space and network connectivity. Led each regional center consolidation effort into the new Cary Center for SS7, Voicemail and Power Surveillance. Coordinated physical move between NOC sites and on-site testing for surveillance tools with SMEs. Developed and delivered training to new National Surveillance Center personnel for specific surveillance responsibilities (Power, SS7 and Voicemail surveillance). This project allowed for a consolidation of multiple surveillance groups to be brought under one location to better interact when network events occurred, and multiple network areas were affected. Project Manager - Switching Network Element Performance Initiative. Led multiple teams in the Installation, consolidation, test, and turn up of STP (Signal Transfer Point) pairs in the National SS7 Network. Leadership required for vendor management, hardware and software installation management, hardware and software test and acceptance, SS7 circuit installation, test and turn up, and STP cutover into live network successfully. These STP replacements and consolidations were instrumental in improving the health and performance of the Switching Network by replacing discontinued equipment that was beyond its end of life period with new improved hardware while also cutting the number of network elements requiring maintenance. This initiative allowed for an improved network with fewer costs.
