COVER LETTER: To whom it may concern: I would like to address the apparent employment gap showing in my resume starting in late September of 2015. At this time Bank of America moved about half of underwriting personnel into another department that was not in line with our skillsets or career goals. My divorce became final and I was left on my own managing the sale of our house with a very short escrow. And, I had a family situation in the Midwest, North Dakota to be specific, where help was being requested. I know it might seem strange, but this really all happened at about the same time. I have spent most of the last two years in North Dakota dealing with family issues and also doing odd jobs for friends and family who are farmers out there. Nothing that would be pertinent to my re-entry into the professional work environment. I understand that I would need to get up to date on current practices and prove myself, but my aim is to eventually move into an underwriting or processing management position. I am a quick learner because I study feverishly and with a singular focus when I am given new information to process. I also have very good communication skills and a very strong work ethic.
