Partnered with sales rep and reconfigured pack to "mimic" the backordered equipment and cooperated with surgeons and technicians A "win win" for both hospital and manufacturer, manufacturer avoided a substantial loss and surgeries scheduled were performed in a timely manner. * Maximized allocation, continued full case schedule and lost no revenue in response to manufacturing shut down of large volume irrigation solutions for arthroscopic surgeries. Resourced unlimited supply of smaller (1000ml vs 3000ml solution, ) designed alternative of joining 4 of the smaller bags via 2-way sterile tubing with the same volume of fluid. Even though shortage of product continued for 18 months regular surgery schedule continued and hospital was not financially impacted.
