Qualifications Oversee production/operation staff in manufacturing environments. Organize, schedule, and direct teams to best leverage available talents and resources to ensure maximum quality and productivity. Select qualified employees, provide effective training, and maintain discipline/morale. Communicate with management regarding performance, quality, and cost issues. * Schedule employees to maximize quality output while avoiding overtime, safety violations, and other workplace risks * Observe production employees in performance of duties intervene as safety/quality concerns dictate * Schedule production runs to meet booked and/or forecasted demand * Leverage knowledge of and experience with lean manufacturing principles to improve production flow * Develop processes and procedures (SOPs) to standardize and create consistency in operations * Analyze production/quality reports to identify deficiencies and implement corrective action * Conduct performance appraisals to implement improvement plans and recognize stellar employees * Plan and implement safety programs and training to ensure worker safety and regulatory compliance * Identify and track metrics to objectively quantify individual and team performance * Work closely with sales teams to research and resolve customer service and quality issues in a timely manner
