SUMMARY: I have been with the same company for the past 12+ years starting as a frontline floor collector and gradually moving up to a lead postion. Currently I have been the finalization manager for the past 8 years. I supervise one other lead plus 11 collectors as well as 2 clerks. My regular duties are training new collectors in regards to the legal process of when suits and garnishments are filed with the courts. I work with our attorney, process servers, courts, clients and vendors. I attend court hearings as a representative of US Collections West. I compile all weekly and monthly reports to the owner. I review all invoices from vendors for accuracy. I am in charge of file reviews for the collectors and answer all questions and give direction. I assign new accounts to collectors weekly and I follow up to make sure that they have processed their lawsuits and garnishments in a timely manner. I also supervise 2 clerks where I oversee that any and all documents are sent to the courts in a timely manner and with the correrct information. I oversee the court calendar for my employees making sure that no court date is missed and that there is a representative in attendance with our attorney. I also work with the owner completing any projects that he needs to be done. I oversee all payments that come into my department with regards to garnishments, voluntary payment arrangements, ach payments, etc. I make sure that they are applied to the correct accounts and that all court costs and attorney fees are recovered accurately. I also work my own file. I contact consumers on delinquent acounts and try to negotiate payment arrangments, obtain full and complete information, determine the best possible payment arrangement. If all efforts are unsuccessful, then I prepare the file to send to our attorney for lawsuit preparation.
