Perform operations Bay Area Teleport Responsible for installation, commissioning and operation, of multiple hop microwave and Fiber systems, Subrate to 1.12 Gbit capacity, including all ancillary support and power equipment. Major equipment to include NEC, Northern Telecom RD-6 & 11 Backbone MW, Rockwell, and Telco Systems. Responsible for development and implementation of network control center operations. Develop disaster recovery procedures. Design turn-up, and test of new and existing maintenance and control, OSS and provisioning systems Teltrak and Larse. Planning of network provisioning and groom activities, including DLR, CLR, ASR, and LSR. maintenance and SSOG system commission on standard B (15 meter) satellite earth stations. Equipment included satellite modems fiber optic I.F. links video processing up/down converters HPA's/LNA's and associated transmission and control equipment. Direct interface with Intelsat and Comsat satellite control centers.
