Accomplishments * Founded the first solely online college in the State of Missouri (American College of Technology, 2001) to offer certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees to adult learners via the Internet. * Developed the college to a full-fledged online university (American Business & Technology University). * Initiated the development and led the implementation of the online MBA programs at ABTU * Led the accreditation process of ABT University for three consecutive five-year terms * Provided strategic leadership in planning, budgeting, evaluation, and continuous improvement of key educational and administrative processes. * Led the implementation of a robust Student Information System * Increased students' retention by introducing students' success services department at the University Governance * Strengthened relationships and built partnerships with business and industry, successfully communicating the mission and direction of the University. * Provided consistent and effective communication with the Board of Directors, partnering closely with the Board to articulate ABT University's future direction and strategic path. * Aligned organizational structures and resources, ensuring the University consistently met strategic objectives and goals. * Oversaw the administration of the Institution, including enforcement of decisions, actions, policies and regulations of the Board of Directors. * Ensured compliance with standards of Higher Education, including state and federal regulations, and U.S. accrediting agencies. Operations * Worked with the Vice President, Deans and Directors of various departments in the development and maintenance of all operational aspects of the University. * Actively pursued and participated in outside funding and capital raising opportunities, including (but not limited to) grant development, and business and industry partnership / assistance. * Reviewed the Institution's financial statements and plans. Directed budgeting to maintain existing operations and funding of new programs. Presented budgets to the Board of Directors for approval. * Initiated an English as a Second Language (ESL) online training program to prepare International students for TOEFL and enrollment at ABT University and other partner universities. * Established a Corporate and Professional Training division at ABT University to serve corporate employees and professionals as they pursue higher education and industry certifications. * Established articulation agreements with various universities and colleges in the United States. * Initiated strategic educational partnerships in China, India, and Turkey.
