Projects and Description of Duties (All CIP Projects were built and coordinated using CIPMS while working closely with third party management companies and the City of Houston to ensure the projects were completed within the allotted time frame and built with integrity) * Wallisville Road Reconstruction from Lockwood to North Wayside * Wirt Road Drainage and Paving * Pinemont Drive Paving from Ella to N. Shepherd Drive - Maintaining records of phase completions and as-builts. -Measuring and collecting quantities from performed activities -Submitting RFI's and negotiating responses as necessary -Monitoring Traffic Control and adjusting per phase requirements -Ordering Materials to accommodate activities on a daily and monthly basis -Creating monthly projections using take-offs and job requirements -Generating weekly revenue reports and cost analysis -Scheduling Lab Testing and TV Inspections for underground utilities and pavement (respectively) -Attending meetings with City of Houston officials to resolve discrepancies -Implementing and maintaining SWPPP -Coordinating and performing Chlorine and Pressure Testing for Waterlines -Estimating RFP's to ensure a timely response -Monitoring production to ensure competed tasks are spec driven Additional overall Duties * Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff and resolve personnel grievances. * Creating departmental budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, ensuring that materials, labor, and/or equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets. * Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records. * Negotiate materials prices with suppliers. * Institute employee suggestion or involvement programs. * Maintain current knowledge of the construction field, relying on current literature pertaining to materials use, technological advances, or statistical studies. * Review plans and confer with staff to develop new processes and cost-effective process revisions. * Direct and coordinate production, processing, and quality control efforts, ensuring the highest overall results.
