COVER LETTER: and To Whom it may concern, I have been in the Automotive Industry for 40 years now and have experience repairing automobiles and trucks (including diesel), rebuilding of engines and transmissions, in almost every type of vehicle, in practically every modality there is. I have been an "A" technician for the past 40 years of my career, and was a CDL truck driver for 8 years earlier in my career. I have worked both in privately owned garages to dealerships, the latest in Brewster Ford. I have progressed up the ladder, over the years, to become an Automotive Service Manager/Store Manager working for a very successful, well known Tire Company for the past 13 years. OBJECTIVE: a new position in which I can utilize the skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications that I have attained throughout my career and apply these qualities towards a new position. I also look forward to learning new skills that can further my knowledge and experience in order to apply it towards a new career. I have been a dedicated, trustworthy, and reliable employee for any company that I have ever worked for, throughout my career, I also enjoy using my skills to educate younger staff members/new technicians in different ways, to help solve any issues they may come up against and assisting them to become more knowledgeable in their field. I also enjoy working with customers in the form of educating and assisting them in order to improve their knowledge of their vehicles. I absolutely explain to the customer when a certain service is warranted or is being done, or explain or warn them when a future service will be needed in their next visit, and I especially stress a repair when there is a safety issue present and must be worked on immediately. I bring them to their vehicle and show and explain what the urgent repair is. They usually are appreciative of the explanation and that is why I have a following of customers from other sites, who travel long distances to see me because they trust me, because I deal honestly.
