Description
COVER LETTER: To whom it may concern: OBJECTIVE: employment in the network engineering, systems analysis, or technical support fields. My resume is enclosed for your review. My now former manager, Mark Aughenbaugh, whose position was recently eliminated, can provide a solid reference. I have a talent for learning new technology and equipment very quickly. In the short time that I spent working for Juniper Networks, I began the training class one week late and within one month my fellow students recognized that I was learning the material faster and would often request my assistance. During 3 of my first 5 weeks at Juniper, I was employee of the month, which is awarded based on productivity levels and customer response, exemplifying my customer service skills and ability to rapidly learn new technologies. My experiences at LDS Business College further exemplify my ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and also provide support for various systems. When I started my employment I was responsible for implementing a new internal firewall using a Cisco FWSM, I have since migrated the technology to Palo Alto Networks firewalls. I have further sought out opportunities to improve processes and implemented the first 802.1x radius solution for the campus for wired and wireless systems simultaneously reducing IT workload and improving security. I have also learned to program both Crestron and Extron systems using a model-based programming solution and recently finished a complete upgrade of such systems on the campus further displaying my ability to learn and adapt to new systems. If you are looking for a enthusiastic, dependable, loyal employee with a strong work ethic who has is able to learn new technology quickly, I ask you to consider me for the position.
