This evidence based system led to the re- training of LEO's to ensure a better understanding of domestic violence and accurate interview and evidence collection techniques. * Initiated a federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act lawsuit, on behalf of an elderly client, against the largest debt collection agency in the State of New Jersey resulting in the clients' debts being forgiven and money damages being paid out to them. * Created, grew, and managed the Sister-In-Law Program at My Sister's Place to approximately 20 court advocates tasked with assisting victims in completing paperwork for custody and temporary child support orders, accompanied victims to court in Family Court cases, matrimonial cases and Criminal Court cases, and helped run multiple pro-se uncontested divorce clinics resulting in over 20 completed divorces for a diverse client base. * Served as advocate for a family to be reunited after the mother had lost custody of six of her seven children through a termination of parental rights. The Mother was in recovery, had taken all the required classes, and kept custody of her youngest son. We petitioned the court to reverse the termination of her parental rights and regain custody of her other children. This marked the first time in the Bronx County Family Court that this type of re-unification had taken place. * Successfully served as First Chair and tried multiple misdemeanor cases resulting in convictions, including coordination of all pre-trail, trial, and post-trial activities.
