Qualifications: I have over twenty nine years of experience as a tradesman in the commercial construction industry thirteen of those years have been in construction supervision and safety. In 2002 I completed the Northern Illinois University's 130 hour Construction Safety Coordinator Program and passed the OSHA Outreach Trainer exam which qualifies me to teach the OSHA 30 hour classes. I have thirteen years of onsite safety experience. Such duties included: Writing site specific safety plans, steel erection plans, trench and excavation, dredging operations, helicopter lift plans, crane and heavy equipment inspection logs, implementing EPA protocols, organizing site safety committees, conducting employee site orientation meetings, hiring new workers, drug testing, accident reports and investigation, writing and implementing emergency preparedness plans, daily job site inspection, conducting training sessions, and OSHA 300 record keeping. I have gained experience with government software programs and contracts while working on Army Corps of Engineers projects. I am able to learn new programs rapidly and work well with my company team as well as outside agencies.
