Professional Summary: I have been employed in long-term care for over 37 years. Positions held include Director of Nursing, Administrator, Regional Clinical Nurse Consultant, Reimbursement Nurse Consultant, Vice-president of Clinical Services and Director of Compliance. I was employed by Kindred Healthcare for over 11 years and then experienced a reduction in work-force. Initially, I held the position of District Director of Case Management and later moved to the Compliance Department as Field Director of Compliance. Both positions required extensive knowledge of the MDS process and clinical reimbursement. In addition, I have experience with Medicaid Case-mix, Quality Measures/Indicators and Process Improvement. I also completed compliance investigations, often as the direction of the law department. These investigations included concerns related to therapy billing, alleged violations of the Code of Conduct and/or Compliance Policies and Procedures. After my position was eliminated at Kindred, I accepted a position with Empres Healthcare as a Utilization Nurse Consultant and eventually returned to Kindred Healthcare as a Interim District Director of Case Management until the facility was closed 7/18/2017.
