Tasked with reducing the tooling budget by 25% changes implemented resulted in savings of over $500,000 for General Dynamics tooling department. Responsible for providing cutting tools both new and reground to the production floor. * Purchased new tooling based on production volumes and associated tool usage. Maintained personnel records timekeeping leave and the progressive discipline system for the tool grinding department in a union shop culture. * Resolved issues with material submitted by supply vendors and assuring future compliance with Pratt and Whitney supplied blueprints. * Developed new tooling applications through the supplier base and the Pratt and Whitney tooling engineering group interacting closely with the vendor base and the internal engineering group. * Able to communicate effectively and resolve conflicts to the satisfaction and requirements of employer. Responsible for the reconditioning and make new demands of a CNC and manual machine shop of approximately 50 machinists at D&G Machine Products. *
