Accomplishments End-Point Inventory Manager: Implemented a Windows-based system that provided internal support technicians with quick and intuitive access to PC and End-Point inventory data including: desktops, laptops, virtual desktops (VDI), network and local printers and mobile devices (iPads, smartphones, hotspots, etc). Worked with Microsoft SCCM team on extract requirements for source-of-truth data, worked with SQL DBAs on SQL application database design and development and worked with VB .Net developers on application design and Business Intelligence (BI). IT Chargeback System: Implemented IT Budget Chargeback System that provided Finance area with monthly data feeds to PeopleSoft Financials system containing costs and statistical data on a variety of IT services including PC data (desktops, laptops, thin clients), printer data (local/network printers, page/sheet counts, color vs BW), and mobile data (iPads, hotspots, smartphones, etc). Data was extracted monthly from Microsoft SCCM databases using Transact SQL and delivered to PeopleSoft Financials system via FTP. Metrics Data Analyst: Implemented interactive Metrics Data Analyst that provides IT management and internal auditors with infrastructure metrics with historical data, trend analysis, and demographic analysis that supports Capacity Planning, Budget Planning, Call Center Utilization, Telecommuter Adoption, and Offshore utilization. Worked with a variety of infrastructure teams on extracting source-of-truth data from SCCM, PeopleSoft, and Citrix and worked with SQL and .Net technicians on application development. Technical Project Manager Accomplishments MBAM Bitlocker encryption: Managed the implementation of Microsoft MBAM Bitlocker encryption on 19,000+ desktop and laptop hard drives at 25+ sites across the enterprise. Also implemented MBAM PIN on all laptops to increase security on mobile devices. Technical management scope included Security, Desktop Support, Help Desk, and Windows Server teams. Additional responsibilities included development of training materials, corporate communications, and executive summaries. Cyber-Security initiatives: Managed the implementation of several Cyber-Security initiatives, including the rollout of Microsoft EMET that enhanced Windows desktop security, the development of Privileged Access Workstations (using VDI), proof-of-concept evaluation of Appsense (admin rights removal) and limited rollout of Invincia (enhanced web browser security) Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL): Managed the implementation of Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) offering that allowed contractors and employees to utilize their own mobile device (e.g. laptop, tablet, Mac) at the office instead of using stock corporate laptop. This allowed employees to utilize a preferred device while reducing corporate hardware costs. This project required technical knowledge for interfacing with multiple infrastructure teams including Desktop Engineering (VDI) and Network (wireless authentication) and Security. BLUE CROSS and BLUE SHIELD of IL/TX/NM/OK/MT Infrastructure Engineer / Business Analyst 2000 - 2007 Business Analyst Accomplishments Windows Deployment Manager: Designed and implemented a Windows-based system that identified internal Windows users that were ready to be migrated to the next Windows release (e.g. Windows 7) by cross-referencing each user's software profile against the SCCM Software Packaging Status database. Worked with SCCM Server Team to extract software inventory and with SQL developers on database design and .Net developers on application design and user interface. Telecommuter Workflow Request System: Designed and implemented a Notes-based workflow request application to support the migration of internal employees from an office cubicle to a fully equipped Work from Home (WFH) employee. Worked with HR to identify all necessary approvals and all corporate training required to move and employee to work from home. Worked with Notes developers on required fields and screen design and approval workflow. System was implemented and has supported migration of 4000+ employees to Work from Home. Software License Compliance Manager: Designed and implemented a Windows-based system that tracked all desktop software license purchases (entitlements) and compared these entitlements against desktop software installations to allow oversight to insure software license compliance. Worked with PeopleSoft Financials application team to extract desktop software purchase data and worked with Microsoft SCCM Server Team to extract software inventory. Also worked with SQL developers on database design and .Net developers on application design and user interface. Technical Project Manager Accomplishments Windows 7 Enterprise Rollout: Orchestrated Windows 7 enterprise rollout to 27000+ endpoints (desktops, laptops, VDI). Developed strategy allowing quick and seamless migration of thousands of call center agents to Windows 7 in one month providing users with two VDI desktops new Windows 7 desktop and prior Windows desktop for instant fallback (eliminating the need for PC rebuilds). Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI): Implemented Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) using Citrix XenDesktop (front-end) with VMWare hypervisor (back-end). VDI implementation included technologies: Citrix XenApp, Appsense Profile Manager, Browsium browser manager, and System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP). VDI implementation enabled Telecommuting program migrating 4000+ Call Center employees to Work from Home (WFH) and also enabled 4000+ offshore call center staff and offshore developers. VDI also enabled the rapid mergers with new Blue Cross plans and other business partners Symantec Endpoint Protection: Implemented Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) release 11 across 27,000 desktop, laptop, and VDI endpoints. Symantec management servers (supporting 25+ sites) download virus pattern updates on a nightly basis propagating updates to all connected clients. Mobile devices updated via Symantec Live Update. Also used Symantec to lockdown the use of USB devices to prevent data leakage unless the endpoint had approved CheckPoint encryption software installed. Microsoft System Center Implementation: Managed the implementation of Microsoft System Center as the centerpiece of our desktop management capabilities, establishing Windows Image management with a single base image for both desktops and laptops. Also managed the packaging of 300+ desktop client software into SCCM and made available for delivery via SCCM Collections or Application Catalog. Established an internal Software Packaging request process including Customer Engagement, defining business requirements, identifying Application Owner, conducting user acceptance testing, and obtaining customer sign-off.
