Career Summary 10+ Years of Installation: Assembled and bolted computer cabinets and Telco racks. Ground racks and equipment as well as earthquake bracing cabinets. Installed ladder racks and fiber trays. Rack, stack and basic configured Cisco (28xx, 4xxx, 7xxx, 6xxx) and Juniper (MX/EX) routers and hubs. Installed and terminated CAT-5, RS530, RS232, RS422, RS442, V.35 and fiber/ cooper distribution panels. Installed KG and KIV series Encryptors. Test long haul circuits (POTS, T1/ DS1, DS3, OC3, OC48, OC192). Terminated 66, 110, BIX, 3M, wire wrap and Amphenol blocks. Also done lacing of Amphenol cables. Migrate circuits to equipment via copper, fiber and media converters. Customized Cat-5, RS232, RS530, V.35, RS442 and RS422 cables to allow communication between devices. Ran A/C and DC power cables as well as installed DC power distribution panels and rectifiers. Turn-up network interface to customer and remote location. Programming: Configured routers, switches, hubs, modems, multiplexors, packet switches, to obtain communication to a network. Testing: Ran BERT and PING testing of equipment and telephone circuits to make sure they are error free. Spectrum analyzer or level tester for broad band network. X 25 packet testers. Used Oscilloscope, Frequency generators, Volt meters, Breakout box, Schematics, Laptop, Fox and Hound, Firebird, Optical tester, Data Line Monitor, Maintenance: Diagnose defective equipment or circuit and replace or repair. Work with Telco vendors to resolve circuit issues. Work with the NOC to resolve customer issues.
