I have worked in the medical office setting for over 34 years. I have seen tremendous changes in the industry and have adapted from hand typing insurance forms to electronic billing as well as manual ledger to computerized accounting. I began my career at 20 years of age in a Chiropractic office moving onto a Multi-Practice/Physicians office. I then took a break for 2 years after my son was born, reentering the field to what would ultimately become my current employer, Mid-South Surgical Assoc dba Alliance of Cardiac, Thoracic & Vascular Surgeons. I have enjoyed advancement in their employment from scheduler, transcriptionist to patient accounting, I was promoted to Patient Account Manager in 2001 in addition to becoming a Certified Physician Coder in 2012, the position I currently hold. I have enjoyed the small office atmosphere with employees who were as close as family. I pride myself in being punctual, having a keen eye for details and organization. I also enjoy being involved in new ideas or projects. I am a dedicated and loyal employee, and feel "all hands on deck" is a good work Moto.
