I have had the pleasure of viewing Mr. Johnson's professional development for roughly six years. Both while working as his direct supervisor at Skyline Displays of Houston, as well as, working alongside him on the showfloor since then. I can state with confidence that he is a motivated and responsible employee with a high degree of integrity. As such, I expect that he will be a very positive addition to your institution. He began working as a helper in Skyline's Service Department. Not long into his tenure there he began to lead his own jobs, eventually running crews of three to four men on some larger projects. Shortly after this he became the lead technician in our Asset Management Department. Here he pulled and prepared entire jobs on his own working directly with the project manager and/or salesperson. In this role, he had a considerable amount of responsibilities, and he handled them well. He worked at least forty hours per week in the warehouse and on the showfloor while there. Along with leading the Asset Management Department, his work included shipping and receiving, staging displays and pulling and prepping work for our Rental Department, as well as, working on the tradeshow floor. I have continued to work with James as a peer since his departure from Skyline Displays. I have watched him lead install and dismantle crews efficiently and successfully. I frequently work directly with him when he leads rigging crews. He has always done a great job of making sure that everything is done correctly, all of his customers are taken care of properly and the job is done in a timely manner. Even when he his leading the Rigging or I&D Department for the entire show he takes the time to check on the little details and make sure the clients are satisfied. Based on my observation, he has the interest to excel in this field, and based on his performance, he clearly has the ability to achieve success.
