I would like to find a job that deals with Psychiatric Nursing, however I have experience in SNF, Neurology, Nephrology, Urology, Gynecology, Endocrinology, Podiatry and Minor Surgery. I have been a Nurse Manager and was in charge of approximately 25 staff, 10 clients at which time I made sure that the clients followed a treatment plan, took meds, went to school, made appointments, met with treatment team regarding their goals, accomplishments, setbacks, needs, and would also make sure that the care giver was following the same care plan.. This was a 6 -12 month program and the client needed to discharge successfully in order to have charges dropped or return back home so a lot of time and hard work was spent on each client so they could go back home. The staff I was in charge of were in 3 shifts, I made monthly schedules, time sheets, schedule their training, approved vacations, provided counseling and terminations. I feel that I can do any job that I am given and I enjoy doing a good job. I rarely called in and gave up 600 hours of sick leave and cashed in 300 hours of all other leave (comp, holiday, administrative, AL, etc) I get along well with all interdisciplinary team members and with people in general. Above all I am a very good listener and when asked I can provide my thoughts. I can accept constructive criticism and I am able to learn the best way to do a task. I also believe laughing is very healthy for your heart and helps you get your job done in a timely manner and enjoying it at the same time. I have experience with computers worked with Windows, Outlook, Webmail, Word, Point Click, and Relias. I have sat on committees/Boards such as the Peer Review Committee, Restraint Elimination Committee, as well as sat on the Nurse Locality Board. I have an Associate's Degree as a Medical Transcriptionist and I type very well and fast. I feel that I am very good with multi-tasking too. I would like to further my education and within the next year I hope to take courses towards my BSN.
