INTRODUCTION * I am a twenty-five (25+), plus years experienced Journeyman Electrician that specializes in Electronic Controls, troubleshooting, repair and damage control. I am currently seeking a permanent full-time position with a reliable and respected company in the ELECTRICAL FIELD THAT IS MY SPECIALITY. Regardless of the fact that I do not possess an engineering degree, I do possess strong traditional as well as strong concept engineering & design skills. I am currently residing in Eight Mile, Alabama and working at position in the Mobile, AL area. I am seeking to relocate anywhere out of Alabama on the Gulf Coast Particularly, South Florida or the Texas Coast, Louisiana and Mississippi Gulf Coast would be considered for the right position. * CONTROLS TECHNICIAN PROFILE 1. Comprehensive experience in the repair and maintenance of motors, valves, control panels, and major mechanical and electrical systems, including timers, circuit breakers, feeders, coils, and relays. PLC wiring, start up and check out. Relay logic wiring, and troubleshooting. Knowledge and experience in Industrial controls, plant maintenance during shut downs and on a daily basis. 2. Experience in industrial, commercial and residential electrical wiring, repair, and maintenance, as well as mechanical-system and electrical troubleshooting. 3. I also have experience with repairing mechanical and electrical on CNC and NC controlled mills and bar lathes on various jobs at Dresser Engine plants 4. Experience with Robotic welders, Die casting presses, complex automated conveyor systems, as well as package scanners and package sorters, Allen Bradley speed drives and frequency drives, soft start and hard start motor starters. 5. Independently perform installation, maintenance, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, calibration, potting, molding, test and operation of high and low voltage power systems, substations, power panels, electro/mechanical, electrical/electronic high/low voltage equipment including specialized electrical/electronic systems and control circuits, subsystems assemblies, sub-assemblies, PC cards, chassis, relays, protective devices, instrumentation components, PLC's, bridges, hoists, doors, motors, shop machinery, cables, lighting, appliances, clocks, gauges, meters, test equipment, gas and diesel generators, portable electrical equipment and components, etc. Knowledge and ability to start and or stop mobile power generators, I also possess the trouble shooting and mechanical skills necessary to repair the equipment. Perform work in other classifications when incidental but necessary to accomplish work assignments. Perform any work assigned to employees in this classification. 6. My father was a Florida Electrical & HVAC contractor for 25 years and in the trade for 40 years therefore, I have been in the Electrical Trade for over 25 years and possess broad knowledge within the field. With my wide-ranging experience and knowledge in my field, and my strong, unswerving work ethic, making me an addition to your workforce would be making an acquisition of a first-rate unique talent. Familiarity with Welding * OSHA 10 * Certification to run almost any equipment * Broad-spectrum Computer Skills * Complex Mechanical Skills * Highly developed Carpentry Skills * Work from spoken information, schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, documents, vendor manuals, and pertinent national, state and municipal provisions and codes. * Use electrical/electronic and mechanical test equipment, instruments, measuring devices and shop tools such as: resistance soldering units, meters, scopes, probes, microbrazers, generators, counters, potting equipment, ovens, molds, etc. * Execute purposeful and/or operational tests of refurbished, repaired, and adapted equipment. * Transport mobile power generators, when required. Maintain logs, charts, graphs and records, as required. * Successful management skills in the operation of large work crews and capability to keep crews highly motivated to bring jobs in on time and/or under budget. *Broad knowledge of POS (purchase order system), accomplished in managing POS for large jobs with success with insignificant job materials lost and all materials purchased under POS accounted for as used, damaged or still in inventory. * Superb communication skills (written, digital or via telephone) * Outstanding customer service skills as well as, working well with other either in a managerial position or other position, an exceptional team player and can perform job duties independently as well, with tremendous achievements. Previous Professional Responsibilities * Successful performance as job foreman over large crews and multi-million dollar projects. * Extremely competent of running large work crews successfully and outstanding performance of duties of foreman position without direct supervision of job superintendent. * Using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), where I received work orders, identified faulty equipment, and acquired parts and equipment to complete repairs. Ordering materials wiring, pipe, lighting, ballast kits, bulbs, flashlights any items needed for project completion or work order changes. Working and relevant knowledge of purchase order systems. * Repair of production equipment from basic hydraulic equipment to complex CNC machinery, performing both electrical and mechanical work * Repairing critical equipment, performing preventive and extrapolative maintenance, and completing projects such as mechanical and electrical hardware and software upgrades * Communicating truthfully, quickly, and resourcefully with your clientele as to important repair steps taken, parts ordered, and time estimated until completion of projects and/or work orders. * Take part and contribute confidently in daily shift meetings, prioritizing and reviewing work orders to schedule daily work. * Acquiring new electrical, mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge, in order to better situate me for expansion and improvement in my field. Certifications obtained through each and every employer that I have worked for to safe operation and management of others working with forklifts, scissor lifts, and all types of industrial equipment that is used at most all industrial type positions in my field of work. * Competence to express basic electronic, mechanical and hydraulic principles used in electrical and mechanical maintenance technician work assignments. * Aptitude to express intelligently core hydraulic and electrical principles. * Familiarity in PLC and/or CNC, and test equipment repair procedures. * Basic Microsoft Office knowledge and/or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) knowledge, computer skills, internet skills, ordering, research, email, etc. * Admirable verbal skills, written communication skills, mathematical, & customer service skills * Extraordinarily self-disciplined, problem-solver, commonsensical as well as, out-of-the-box thinking, troubleshooting team player with a strong work ethic
