PROFILE * Versatile, self-starter with extensive experience in cancer center management with a concentrated focus on patient care. Strengths include: 1) budget management, 2) process optimization, 3) strong negotiation skills and patient navigation through treatment plans focusing on emotional and psychosocial aspects of cancer and patient advocacy. SUMMARY: My position as the Center Manager of the Comprehensive & Prostate Cancer Center is a much diversified position. On a daily basis, I triage patient issues, physician matters, employee education and satisfaction, maintain and solve IT problems and ensure a safe and secure environment for the staff and patients. This position allows me to be creative with cost saving measures in an ever growing health care climate and changing insurance contracts. * * Solely responsible for maintaining a best in class patient services by training all frontline staff, which resulted in a 99.9% patient satisfaction on customer center survey. * Hire and orient all employees to the cancer center including scheduling, work assignments and cross training. * Initiated the first ever Patient Support Group, along with the first annual Survivor Day for patients and families of the Cancer Center. * Comprehensive understanding of insurance appeal process and assisted in getting payment after denials. * Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes. * Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures preparing payroll reviewing and approving supply requisitions assigning and monitoring office functions. * Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, equipment procurement and EMR systems. * Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures measuring results against standards making necessary adjustments. * A completely paperless cancer center. * Proficient in two EMR systems: ARIA and Athena. * Up to date knowledge of all Varian ARIA changes, additions and working in version 11 and 13. SUMMARY: Manage all Radiation Therapist, Dosimetrist, Physicist, RN and Front Office staffs to ensure all patients are cared for to the Standard of Care outlined by the American Kidney Stone Management Company. * Patient satisfaction maintained since the start of position at 99.3%. * Proficient at Dosimetrist job responsibilities, fusing MRI's, CT Scans and PET. * Nursing skills are used on a daily basis to support RN on staff with daily patient responsibilities. * Prepare patient Medical Oncology Rounds, Chart Rounds and Peer review weekly for all patients under treatment to maintain the highest level of care. * * MORRISTOWN MEMORIAL HOSPITAL - Morristown, NJ 07960 * Staff Radiation Therapist, Sr. Therapist and Dosimetry 1982 - 2001 SUMMARY: During my many years in supervisory and leadership roles at Morristown Memorial Hospital, I developed and networking skills necessary for a team approach in Radiation Oncology. As a negotiator for equipment and services contracts, I was able to secure the lowest bid for many contracts. As a team leader, I implemented many Quality Assurance Projects that resulted in positive changes to the Cancer Center. My years of volunteering with the American Cancer Society enabled me to utilize many contacts for patients and families in need of resources.
