Summary: I have been in the Environmental field for 30 years since 1987 where I started out as a custodian in the Souderton School District. I have worked in Schools, Pharmaceutical Company and several local Nursing Facilities. I started out at the bottom of the ladder and moved my way up and since 1996 I became a lead housekeeper and then the supervisor and later became the Director of Environmental Services in the housekeeping/Laundry/Environmental field. I have managed anywhere from 15-55 employees. I have experience with computers and Inventory ordering, Marketing and staying within my budget. I have trained employees to proper cleaning techniques and maintaining floors. I have experience in cleaning resident rooms and classrooms and office buildings. I also have experience in stripping and waxing floors and cleaning carpets and buffing floors. I have used many types of floor equipment and cleaning products. I have taking management classes through a company that I worked for and have trained level one and two blood spill clean up. I have trained employees in infection control, OSHA standards, fire safety, bloodbourne pathogens, accident prevention, EEOC policies, Hazardous Communications, workplace safety, Residents rights, and HIPPA policy and I have done intense inspections throughout many facilities. I have worked for both union and non-union buildings. I am fast learning to companies own policy and procedures. I have gone through State and Federal Inspections for 15-16 years with no deficiencies. I take pride in my job and am very dependable and treat all employees with the up most respect and I treat everyone equally. I am easy going and love to work, not afraid to get involved with the staff with work related projects. My goal is to make a difference in the facility where I am employed. My Moto is "To expect is to Inspect". When inspecting rooms or offices I communicate with the Maintenance Dept. on any Maintenance issues that I come across and work very closely with Maintenance Dept. I believe Customer Service is the #1 priority no matter what industry you're working in because if it wasn't for the customers, we wouldn't have a job.
