Description
SUMMARY Ensures the integrity of all critical systems for a Tier IV Data Center Campus * Coordinate with the customer and vendors to ensure system uptime and mitigate the impact of failures on the Critical Load. Ensures that all work is performed in a timely manner with the highest level of workmanship. * Involved in construction of 2 tier 2 data centers on site. The 1st is an Energy Star earned facility that was one of the most energy efficient facilities ever built in 2013. This facility has a ground breaking concept, installing modular data pods on the roof with the Arizona heat and cooling it for free. It works, also has backup generators (4), UPS, electrical yard, etc. The 2nd is basically a pod yard with a 14 Dell pod capability, with backup generator, UPS (flywheel), electrical yard, etc. * Created interdepartmental forms such as General, Mechanical and Electrical round sheets that ensure all equipment is regularly inspected. Created a 14 page Emergency lighting working checklist for monthly and annual inspections and gave all of those lights identities. Developed procedures (this reduced the job from an entire month to 4 hours). Created UPS battery string work sheets, generator refueling work sheets, upgraded Fire panel disable/enable sheets, water flow diagram showing different types of stages of cooling ( free, partial free and mechanical cooling) to help the team learn and understand a complex system. Created a valve drawing and info sheet for a modular chiller plant with heat exchangers to show the state of each valve during each phase of cooling and where they are located. * Proficient with many building management systems such as BMS (Delta), Power Scada, Paladin, Tigereyes, Web Control, Dell GUE, EPMS power monitoring expert, HP OIP, etc. * Development of Administrative, Operational, Maintenance, and Emergency Procedures. Help with building the Critical Environment Technician Training Program. * Detail and profit-oriented, with proven ability to identify, repair, analyze and solve problems. * Strong planning, organizational and problem solving skills. * Possess good communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to supervise, motivate, train and increase productivity. * Proficient at most construction trades, including but not limited to electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, sheetrock, wallpaper, carpet and painting. * Ability to set up preventative maintenance program for facility equipment with daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly semi-annual and annual work orders generated. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Facility Equipment Operated and Maintained UPS Equipment (7000+ batteries), UPM's * Switch Gear (12.47V to 480V), Transfer Switches, PDU's, RPP's, transformers * Chillers (8), CRAH/CRAC Units, Pkg. units, FCU's, RTU's, Cooling towers, heat exchangers, pumps, motors, fans, VFD's etc. * Generators (18 @ 3000 to 6000 HP Cat's ) * FM 200/ DMC/ VESDA/ EPO /Fire alarm systems/ Fire Suppression systems * 500,000 gallon chilled water storage tank system * Backup well water system, chemical treatment * Lighting, plumbing, Fire Alarm system, Fire suppression systems * Building management systems
