CollapseDescription

Career Highlights & Expertise * Background in operating and maintaining several Co-generating and Combined cycle plants to include GE LM2500, GE LM5000, GE LM6000 and various sized pressure boilers ranging from 150 psig to 2800 psig. * Extensive startup and normal operations experience to include 500 megawatt pulverized coal-fired units and start up and normal operations of 5 Solar Electric Generating Stations ranging from 550 megawatts to 30 megawatts. * Operator competencies at a 40 megawatt gas turbine plant consisting of a GE LM6000PC gas turbine that supplied electricity to PG&E power grid and thermal energy to a host refinery consisting of a low pressure steam system and a Heat Transfer Fluid system. Plant originally consisted of GE LM5000PC gas turbine and was later retrofitted with GE LM6000PC gas turbine. * Served as Contract Operator at Duke Energy Co-generating gas turbine plant consisting of Pratt Whitney FT4/C3 gas turbines and three generators requiring operator competencies for Safe, Clean, and Efficient operations of plant and all associated equipment to include water testing and sampling of oil systems and HTF system, removal of gas turbines during scheduled and unscheduled turbine outages, and disconnection of all oil, hydraulic, and other systems to allow gas turbine removal. * Programmed and implemented a Data Acquisition System (DAS) utilizing Lotus spreadsheet program resulting in real time temperature, pressure, and gallons per minute readings from Gas Turbine and balance of plant readings. DAS functions allowed data storage from Gas Turbine and balance of plant. * Skilled in steam boiler operations (gas, oil, coal fired, and Solar Generating Systems) ranging from low pressure boilers used for heating and cooking to high-pressure power boilers that control steam turbine generator sets of 25 megawatts to 550 megawatts per hour. * Integral participant in provision of 320,000 full-time Safe Work hours for Oildale Energy facility. * Provided subject matter expertise in development and implementation of Plant Lockout and Tag out procedures assuring individual safety measures during equipment maintenance procedures.
