Description
Emergency Room Registered Nurse - Provide emergency medical care to a multiple critical/acute/sub-acute patients per shift within an Emergency Department * Ensure the provision of quality emergency medical care to patients requiring emergency intervention in accordance with physician orders hospital policy and standard nursing practice. * Perform patient assessment and nursing diagnosis. * Evaluate episodic and acute responses to broad classifications of physical or psychosocial issues. Perform phlebotomies dispense medications and monitor results. * Implement orthopedic care including splinting casting and bracing. * Provide patient education pertinent to diagnosis. * Manage the planning and implementation of interventions. * Coordinate patient referrals and discharge planning activities. * Provided acute care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia encompassing ambulatory surgical procedures invasive and extensive surgeries and traumas. * Identify and manage life threatening post-operative and anesthetic complications. Managed assessments nursing diagnoses and formulation of the written plan of care. Precept/supervised new nurses paramedics and student nurses during clinical training.
