His experience includes both the commercial and yachting industries. Captain Derr is certified as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) which aids in troubleshooting network communications and Dynamic Positioning (DP) equipment onboard. He has also worked in the telecom sector as well as technology start ups. Managed and operated yachts and ships ranging in size from 50 - 300+ feet in length with service areas including The Great Lakes Gulf of Mexico including the U.S. Mexico and Caribbean Islands.
