Description
Construction Manager. I have strong leadership skills that allow me to take control of a project and produce results. I started out in the construction industry as a carpenter's helper in 1972. I have advanced into progressively more responsible management positions. In 1991 I sat for the North Carolina General Contractors License Examination. I passed the exam and became the license qualifier for Gentry and Johnson Builders. I advanced through the supervisory level and on to management through dedication to purpose and the desire to learn from each situation. I have taken every opportunity available to improve my skill set through continuing education, additional training and mentor-ship. I have successfully managed real estate development initiatives and challenging construction projects in most geographical regions of the United States. I have more than 25 years experience working in unique situations with a diverse range of clients. I have the proven ability to motivate peers and subordinates to achieve positive project results, within close time constraints and strict budgetary guidelines, by using project management professional (PMP) technology and techniques, along with hands on common sense situation management. I love what I do and I am good at it
