PROFILE Over twenty years of progressively responsible experience in chemical plants and refinery operations, with a reputation for high-quality work. Many years of experience as a board operator with batch process as well as continuous process and working with gas compressors. 20 years of experience working with hazardous chemicals and hydrocarbons. Experience as a lease operator and pumper as well as experience in pipeline operations and tank farm operations. Experience with all aspect of pipeline operations, including startup operations as well as day-to-day operations. Worked for BP at a plant that generates 475,000 barrels of crude oil per day representing approximately 3 percent of the nation's fuel Spent a few years in the late 80's working in the oil fields of the Texas Panhandle as Pumper and lease operator with the ACCOMPLISHMENTS Personnel Management As lead operator overseeing eight personnel we resolved issues and safety concerns prior to them being brought up to the Step up Chief Operator. Also assume the role of Step up Chief Operator in their absence and responsible for all the duties and decisions that are made while in that position. As Process Operator facilitated the construction, CPVC startup and commissioning of a new Kaneka plant. Implemented new safety and operating procedures, conducted on the job training for new operators, read, reviewed and revised P&ID's. Analyzed policies and procedures with regard to safety and efficiency, recommending policy changes and process improvements. Reviewed SOP's and wrote clear concise guidance for new SOP's to stay current with required company procedures. Responsible for teaching co-workers how to calculate and input the production data into the SAP software solutions computer database. This new software gave visibility to all production efforts and a clear view to define cash flow throughout the projects duration. As Process Operator A/I Classification I was responsible for the production of Daxad and Glycine, inventory and quality control. Certified in both the units as a board operator and as an outside operator. Duties ranged from charging raw materials to reactors to making manual line-ups.
