The research and development projects include “The impact of concentration of blast-furnace gas components containing nitrogen on the product of nitrogen oxides in hot-blast stoves”, «Modification of exploitation regimes for hot-blast stoves for improvement of their lifetime and temperature of blow”, “Calculation methods for fuel combustion and heating of refractory bricks in combustion chamber”. Additional areas of work are research and development on natural gas heating systems in front of the blast furnace, utilization of the flue gases heat for hot-blast stoves, resource- and energy-saving in furnaces. For blast-furnaces of Alchevsk metallurgical plant there were tested and implemented successfully refractory materials for tuyere nozzles for pulverized coal fuel (in 2008-9). Habilitate research program “Development of theoretical basis to create new and improve existent technologies in the production of agglomerate and iron” (from 2007).
