Summary: * A Twenty-year naval career with increasing responsibilities having extensive experience in system fault isolation, ranging from circuit online testing and troubleshooting to mainstream cutover of hardware equipment. * Management and development of communications systems, supporting the U.S. Government's deployments and operations. * Installation, upgrades, operation, troubleshooting, and repairs of various complex communications and computer systems. * Troubleshooting and repair of communications system, and computer systems and upgrade and testing of new software. * Knowledge of various systems and satellite operations. * Tasked with training of new personnel to take on the responsibility of a Naval Communications Tech Controller Supervisor. * Tracking and resolution of all troubles through remote monitoring, trouble ticket data and automated Computer Systems for the coordination with Field Techs for complete problem resolution. * Extended experience in voice/data communications ranging from various frequencies in the LF - EHF spectrums. * Maintaining various circuits, also responsible for the proper handling and destruction of classified material and equipment. * Proper installation of Satellite V-Sat's and 3 mete dish and equipment for long-range communications and operations and maintenance. * Performing field verification testing * Reading and adhering to blueprints and installation design plans for the installation of sub-level devices * Preparing and installing cable pathways and spaces * Identifying appropriate cables from drawings and running cables/fiber per installation design plans * Testing continuity of conductors or breaks in fiber connections * Terminating basic connections such as butt splices, insulated connectors, terminal strips/blocks and BNC connectors * Mounting and terminating field devices such as readers, door contacts, REXs, and cameras * Ensuring all assigned IMMS tickets are resolved and documented. * Installing and terminating sub-level devices to include power and proper grounding * Reading and understanding component level schematic diagrams for systems, equipment, and devices * Troubleshooting and isolating problems at both a local and global level * Correcting problems at the local level with no assistance and at the global level with little assistance * Repairing and maintaining electronic security system equipment * Terminating and testing voice and data connections Accomplishments * Responsible for the assemblies and sub-assemblies for system integration, Senior Installer insures that all fabrications exceed requirements prior to the field deployment. * Experienced in Cable Fabrication RF, Fiber Optic, Cat-5, High Speed Digital, and Telephone. Successfully integrated various types of equipment and cards into communications system such as: * INMARSATS, Firebird, Fiberplex, IDNX Promina 20/90/100, Systems Card Integration, testing and upgrades, Installed and conducted testing on new circuits and links for T-1-OC-48s, and encryption devices including: KG-84's (a-c), KG-194, KG-75, KG-46's KOI, KG-195, KG-175 and Crypto Keying material. * Proficient in fashioning and Installing various cables and fiber reconfigured housing for new design for integrated for new and upcoming communications system. * Able to read system design, technical drawing, plans and reports for new system configurations. * Very diversified in the most sophisticated computer and telecommunications systems with extensive experience in high quality voice and analog, satellite, and LF - EHF communications. * Experienced in various test equipment including which includes Hewlett Packard 3551A, Firebird 6000A, Oscilloscope, Voltmeter, 25 pin breakout box and Tone & Signal Generator. * Experience in use of CRT special computer for troubleshooting various communications problems with indication alarms to isolate and test circuits for failure and degradation then restoring circuits on its normal path.
