Core Qualifications * Use of iron working tools and equipment such as drill press, crane and boom lift, forklift and aerial lift, magnetic drill, portable punch press, torches and arch welders. * Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities. * Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to the project plans and specifications. * Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts, following blueprints and instructions from supervisors. * Bolt aligned structural-steel members in position for permanent riveting, bolting or welding into place. * Cut, bend, and weld steel pieces, using metal shears, torches, and welding equipment. * Read Architectural/Structural drawings. * Welding (Mig/Stick/Flux Core/Gas)
