I have a great deal of management experience in all phases of manufacturing, including but not limited to Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing, Material Handling, Quality Control, and SAFETY. Professional Achievements ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND Safety MANAGER 2013 - Present Buckhead Beef NE As Safety/Compliance manager for three locations, Edison and Lakewood, NJ as well as Warwick, Rhode Island, I am responsible for policy, procedure and training for over 200 employees. Our safety record has continued to improve and we currently have completed our third successive quarter without an ORI (OSHA Recordable Index) accident. SAFETY & QC/QA MANAGER 2000 - 2013 Duro Bag Manufacturing Wrote policy and procedures, including GMP's and HACCP programs. I also instituted Safety and Quality audits. Established shift safety committees (24 hour operation) Held monthly safety meeting/training for over 300 union employees, PowerPoint and demonstrations. Trained employees on LOTO, Blood Bourne pathogens, emergency preparedness/evacuation. Well versed on Behavioral Based Safety, 6S, and STOP programs. Reduced OSHA Recordable Rate from 15.9 - 2.1 Three time President's Award winner for best safety record of all 13 Duro Bag plants. Our plant also consistently maintained the highest level of quality among all Duro plants. PRODUCTION MANAGER 1997 - 2001 Duro Bag Manufacturing As Production Manager, I introduced standardized training for machine operators and first line supervisors. Wrote "Code of Conduct" for entire production department. We were able to increase production 16,000,000 bags per day to over 18,000,000. Current production tops out at approximately 16,500,000
