ACCOMPLISHMENTS Leadership - Consolidated datacenters across the country into a Tier 4 datacenter providing great cost savings and greater application reliability. Provided both technical and leadership skills to move thousands of systems, hundreds of applications and petabytes of information into the new datacenter. Responsible for the team efforts to deliver the platform transformations and ensure minimal down time during the cutover to the new datacenter. While consolidating the United States infrastructure three other efforts were also in flight to duplicate the new enterprise architecture in Canada, UK, and Asia. Successfully completed the datacenter deployments on budget and ahead of schedule allowing new revenue streams to come online early. Enterprise Architect - Architected datacenter deployment and consolidation solutions for large enterprises across the globe. Designed and delivered enterprise wide monitoring and deployment solutions taking advantage of the organizations tier support model to ensure complete coverage. Also designed and delivered datacenter, platform and application setups for very large OLAP and OLTP systems while providing optimal I/O efficiency to reduce latency. Optimization - Successfully transitioned several organizations from decentralized to streamlined entities utilizing ITIL principles, processes and procedures. Very adept at capitalizing on current strengths and providing efficiency gains of 20% or more through organizational restructuring and responsibility redistribution. Successfully negotiate contracts and service agreements to obtain the best service levels and not overpay for unnecessary items. Consolidate datacenter footprints through all possible technologies to reduce overhead and increase density. Technology Innovator - Designed and deployed many solutions utilizing the latest technology to increase efficiency such as increasing system deployment speed by 120% through virtualization and automation. Setting up teams that allow a 3 tier support model to serve the enterprise 35% faster than before, and allow the personnel a career growth through all 3 tiers increasing retention and knowledge base by over 23%.
