COVER LETTER: Dear Sir/Madam I am writing to express my interest in the Position mentioned above recently advertised. I am a Ugandan, female 38 years old. I hold masters in Public Health. My interest and involvement in maternal child health, Public Health and HIV/AIDS programs for over 10 years makes me an outstanding candidate for this Position. I am passionate about improving access to Public Health services, through quality Health Service delivery. Currently am working With CUAMM (Doctors with Africa) South Sudan on Reproductive Health Programs. My achievements in the health sector have included: Building the capacity of non government & government health workers and community-based health care providers in the areas of: maternal child health, HIV/AIDS and PMTCT. I served as a mentor and Trainer of Trainers (TOT) for 8 years and contributed to reduction of Maternal and Neonatal mobility and mortality in Kitgum, Pader districts and Kapoeta East- South Sudan through capacity building of the health workers to carry out goal oriented ANC PNC, skilled birth attendance and EPI at the health facilities and outreaches. Coordinated obstetrical and Neonatal emergencies to higher centre with Comprehensive obstetrical and Neonatal services, managed the ambulance referral system for the Payam. I conducted periodic onsite mentorships on basic and comprehensive obstetrical and new born care. Conducted maternal, neonatal and child health Trainings on safe motherhood IMCI, EMOC and ECONB to improve on the Quality of the maternal, new born care from the lesions learnt. I have made a recognizable contribution in the field of Reproductive Health programs and public health through research and publication of a dissertation "Factors affecting the Provision of Integrated Reproductive Health services". This piece of work has served as an advocacy tool for inclusive safe motherhood in Uganda .The above qualifications combined with my Training, couching and mentoring skills, as well as my experience working and responsibility for the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation with International Health Organizations including IRC, UHMG & ARC/ HTPVK& CUAMM South. Sudan makes me confident that I would ably transfer the skills gained to enhance the feasibility of scaling upPublic Health in this position in your project.
