CAREER SUMMARY * Experienced synthetic chemist with over 15 years of industrial manufacturing (agriculture), multi-step syntheses (pharmaceutical), process, and radio chemistry in the preparation of potential drug candidates and agrochemicals. * Experienced in the synthesis and characterization of radiolabeled compounds for API. * Synthetic skill has focused on the preparation and characterization of custom syntheses for pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector. * Hands on experience in the preparation of esters from fatty acids (i.e. linoleic, palmitic, oleic, etc.) and simple alcohols (ethanol, methanol, etc.) and the transesterification of vegetable oils (soy, sunflower, palm, etc.) with polyols (neopentyl glycol-NPG, trimethylolpropane-TMP, pentaerythritol-PE) to give biodegradable lubricants and other products. * Experienced in the custom synthesis of API, steroids (cortisol, corticosterone), and conjugated (glycine, taurine) and unconjugated bile acids (lithocholic, ursodeoxycholic). * Work experience in managing laboratory operations at manufacturing sites operating 5000 gallon reactors with union employees. * Experienced in working in manufacturing site and responsible for decision in the manufacture of process for over 65 products. * Experience in a toll manufacturing work environment.
