Career Summary- A highly trained, skilled craftsman with a wide and diverse skillset who has thirty plus years performing, supervising and planning: repairs, maintenance both corrective and preventive in the power and manufacturing industry, where through hard work and initiative made my employers and myself more competitive and successful in are industries. Qualifications I have been at SJRPP/JEA for the past 11 years. I have performed maintenance work on 2-3000 PSI Foster Wheeler boilers and 2-640 mega-watt G/E steam turbines. In that time I have been involved in the overhaul of several Pacific steam driven boiler feed pumps, numerous multi-staged motor driven positive displacement pumps. I have also planned the day to day corrective and preventive maintenance of the power block area for 3 crews of mechanics using a computerized maintenance managing system. I have the aptitude to supervise the successful repair and maintenance of a steam power department, years of experience maintaining, overhauling and repairing high pressure steam equipment and four years' experience in supervising the maintenance and operation of steam propulsion systems. I possess extensive experience in maintaining pumps, boilers, blowers, valves and associated auxiliary equipment. I have vast expertise in welding, brazing, cutting and boring machine operation. I am a qualified operator of the Dexter and Effco Globe and Gate Valve reseating machine. I am a certified machinist well versed in the use of lathes and milling machines. I am also a certified welder (AWS). I am highly skilled in the use of precision measuring equipment (Micrometers, calipers, etc.) and in repair of ASME Sec. V and Sec. VIII safety relief valves as well as various control, plug, ball and gate and globe valves.
