Profile * Design engineer with problem solving skills and the ability to complete jobs quickly and accurately. * 10 years of experience in Solidworks 3D modeling and machine design. * 4 years of machine building and hands on construction with minor Lathe & Bridgeport experience. * 6 years of experience in designs for steel stamping dies, which are often toleranced +/- 0002. * 8 years working with designs for plastic injected products, including sampling in small molds. Advanced techniques in Solidworks, including surfacing, weldments, and large assemblies. Minor AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical, etc. with the ability to learn other needed material quickly. Some experience with electrical systems and analysis. Received an Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering from NHTI in Concord, NH. Currently in the field of designing and building automated assembly machines for the manufacturing industry. Accomplishments * Completed designs and coordinated construction to build multiple automated assembly machines for large manufacturing companies such as WD-40, Valspar, P&G and Unilever. * Designed and built two successful stamping dies from the ground up, in order to expand production. * Created hundreds of designs and drawings based on the needs of the company and the customer. Communication * Works closely with multiple vendors in order to receive quotes for particular jobs, including feeder bowl design and manufacture. * Able to create capital expense forms for new projects and budget appropriately based on quotes received from suppliers. * Can create and analyze the BOM for a job and liaison the needs to the appropriate workers. * Works with outside machinists, including outsourcing jobs for EDM and other required finishes. * Can place requisitions and coordinate with the purchasing department for all materials needed. * Constantly meeting with new suppliers in order to reduce costs for outside purchased materials. * Communication is the key to completing any project.
