With my knowledge and background in the procurement and or distribution of industrial materials, I have developed business relationships with many vendors, suppliers, manufacturers, and end users such as major oil companies, industrial contractors, food processers, agricultural producers and contractors, as well as transportation companies. PURCHASING AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT I possess professional skills in purchasing and material acquisition skills using MS Office, SAP and Oracle environments for various types of industries and organizations. Well versed in various Specifications, and material requirements. Use procedures to track and improve vendor performance and to eliminate unnecessary costs and expenditures, and to improve the safe and efficient handling of all materials. Key Areas of Focus: * Ability to analyze various material requests and requirements, and to procure goods and or services accordingly. * Communicate with department heads regarding changing market conditions and the need to "take advantage" whenever possible. * Coordinate with department heads to track, identify, and eliminate costly overstock and non moving materials. * Develop, implement and administer standards, policies and procedures for material returns and for the timely processing of all paperwork pertaining to same. * Coordinate movement of materials in a timely and efficient manner, and locate and develop new sources of transportation * Study and evaluate new products and materials. * Search, develop and quantify new material sources.
