Summary: I began working in the oilfield a few weeks after graduating high school at the age of eighteen. I was on a workover for just over a year when things slowed down and I had to move on. While there I was promoted for my natural decision-making abilities and leadership abilities. Since that time I have honed my skills through knowledge and strove to learn in every situation. I broke out on drilling rigs in 1994 as a floorman. I have since worked through all positions as far as toolpusher. I have always worked well with others and in leadership worked to lead with confidence that is gained through experience and job knowledge. I enjoy working in the drilling industry and look forward to every hole as a new challenge and a new learning experience. Qualifications: * Work hard to achieve goals as quickly and efficiently as possible. * Learn quickly to perform new tasks and alter capabilities to accommodate new situations. * Good troubleshooting skills in determining cause of problems and solutions to alleviate problems in a safe and efficient manner. * I have a good "mechanical mind" for equipment and the operation of equipment. If I have some literature on equipment I can understand the operation and care of it and help myself and others to use it more efficiently. * I work well with others in all situations. I have no problem hearing others' opinions or ideas and can easily admit if their plan is better for the operation or I can just as easily explain to them why their idea is not the best for the job at hand. * I take orders and follow instructions well. I do not deviate from plans given by superiors without sound reasoning and explanation. * I am very dependable and loyal to my employer. I do not miss work or show up late for any reason unless prior arrangements have been made. * I have had multiple training sessions through drilling company employment in safety related courses. I have also had well control and supervisor training through the same. I am currently up to date in first aid and well control supervisory level. after graduating high school. Worked as slip and elevator hand until I was promoted to lead man. Worked as lead man and rod buster and assisted in operating the rig.
